Lemurs

Lemurs are restricted to the tiny island of Madagascar, making them one of Africa's most unique hidden secrets. From mouse lemurs, found on the rainforest floor, to the instantly recognisable ring-tailed lemur, more than 100 species exist. Moving through the forest canopy with ease all their lives, they search for young leaves, flowers and fruit.

With instantly recognisable eyes, social lemurs move through their short lives with their families, where communication is essential. Many species are now threatened by the loss of their forest habitat, making Madagascar one of the world's most important conservation landscapes. Seeing Lemurs in the wild is a rare privilege and offers an unforgettable insight into an ecosystem found nowhere else on Earth.
